This review is from: Brabantia Built-in Bin, 15 Litre, Brilliant Steel (Kitchen & Home)
If you’re installing this bin in a cupboard with non-flat doors, beware. Because our doors aren’t flat the fittings on the door need to be placed at the lower edge (in an area thick enough to take the screws), however, the hinges for the doors then get in the way. My husband spent a good couple of hours cursing and finally ended up attaching another piece of wood to the thinner part of the door to fix the screws into. Apart from that it’s a very nice bin – easy to use and so far we have no complaints.

Price: excellent – cheaper than Tesco or elsewhere Ease of fitting: Okay: Assembly instructions has only pictures, but only three items to fit (only drill and screwdriver needed); three points to look out for: 1) the bin guide fitted to the door needs to be level with the bottom of the bin not the bottom of the door. (I got this wrong and had to re-fit) – align the guide to the bottom bin first to see the level before you drill the holes. 2) do not insert the one-way bin retaining plugs before you clip in the bin: follow the instructions – reall tight fit! 3) If the cupboard door does not have a latch (modern ones rely on sprung hinges) you may need to tighten the spring or fit a latch.
I would recommend this unit to anyone, works well, well built and a 10 year guarantee : more than some kitchens.

This product looks great, but unfortunately the spring mechanism on the bin lid tends to push whatever cupboard door you install it into, open all he time.
The cupboard door is always open buy about 1 – 2 inches all the time.
